Creators present Projects through the Mega Super Good (MSG) website for up to 90 days, during which time Producers may pledge money toward the Project's fundraising goal. If the financial goal is met by the end of the fundraising period, the pledged money is then charged to the Producers' credit card accounts and given to the Creator (after credit card processing fees and MSG's 5% fee have been deducted from the total amount raised). If the monetary goal has not been met by the end of the fundraising period, no charges will be made to any of the Producers' credit card accounts and the Project Creator will not receive any funds.
That's up to the Creators! Each Creator can offer different Goodies for different monetary donations. Additionally, Producers also get to brag about their Projects to friends. That's probably the greatest incentive.
Registered MSG users may submit Projects using the "Create a New Project" tab located on their Dashboard page. Upon submission users will receive a confirmation email, verifying that their project information has been received by MSG. Projects are then considered for acceptance by the Mega Super Good team. Once a project is approved, it will be posted on MegaSuperGood.com and that user automatically becomes a Creator.
PRODUCERS
Producers fund Projects and get to communicate with Creators.
Requirements: Sign up to be a Producer and contribute ($1 min.) to at least one Project every six months!
CREATORS
From concept to completion, Creators present and manage their Projects, set rewards, etc. They also answer Producers' questions and are encouraged to provide Project updates during and after the fundraising process.
Requirements: Creators are required to sign up and have their projects approved by MSG. Once accepted, Creators are responsible for advertising and managing their Projects!
MSG retains 5% of all successfully funded Projects. If a Project doesn't succeed, we don't deduct any charges.
If the Project's financial goal is met by the end of the fundraising period, your pledged amount will be charged to your credit card on or around the final day of the Project's MSG fundraising period. If the Project's funding goal is not met, your pledge to the Project will never be charged.
No. Your pledge amount is between you and the Creator of the project.
No. Mega Super Good only deals in secure electronic transfers via credit or debit cards utilizing Amazon's Flexible Payments Service (FPS) Sandbox.
That is the responsibility of Creators and Producers. MSG is only responsible for facilitating the fundraising process, like Ebay or Ubid.
No. Although there will naturally be some cross-pollination from Producers who regularly visit the MSG website, Creators are responsible for inviting Producers, friends and family to their Project. MSG is only responsible for providing the fundraising platform where doers and donors can meet.
No. Although we have a natural affinity for art, Mega Super Good promotes ingenuity and originality in all aspects of culture from art to inventions to social activism.
Mega Super Good is owned and operated by anonymous entrepreneurial art lovers and philanthropists.
Absolutely! You can follow and fund Projects from anywhere in the world. Our only restriction is that non-US citizens can not be Creators at this time. We hope to expand internationally soon.
If there's ever a credit card billing issue with your card, you'll receive an email from Mega Super Good. You'll have seven days to correct the problem or your MSG account will be suspended.
No. Mega Super Good is not currently for investments.
No, Project descriptions can not be altered once posted, so save a Project in draft form until you are truly ready to post it. This helps to ensure that Producers get what they bargained for -- meaning the Project that they originally supported will not change after they have already donated to it. It also helps keep Creators focused on the Project's vision. However, Creators can modify their Project's video and pictures at any time using the "Edit Project" option under the "My Projects" tab of their Dashboard page. These types of Project updates are strongly encouraged!
